Customer Reviews:
"Andrea has been growing as a poetry writer and becoming one of the best in her style. She has the ability to
make us visualize her words and travel through her poems like in a daydream. The inclusion of pictures draws our
curiosity even further and integrates us into this universe of words that Andrea Dietrich so gracefully designs.
"Simultaneous Thoughts of Soul Mates Yet to Meet," "Your Wild Awakening," and "This Old Tree" are some of the
poems that make us feel like we are inside them living a moment or just watching an event happen. Words must
have a soul, and Andrea captures them in a very particular and gracious way. I recommend "For the Love of Etheree"
to anyone who wants to travel in this world of words created by Andrea Dietrich." - Ludmilla Urquiza
"Andrea’s book For the Love of Etheree is the kind of book you will
want to curl up with a warming cup of tea or coffee to enjoy reading.
Be prepared to laugh and cry and let your emotions fly!
She captures precious moments frozen in time as in her poem “Not
To Be Forgot” about her little grandson. It made me cry. I feel that
Andrea has taken the Etheree to new heights in her expertise of
writing in this modern form invented in the 1970’s and named after its
creator Arkansas poet Etheree Taylor Armstrong.
In our world of war and peace her poem, “Tomorrow’s Grace,” stands
as a shinning example to us all.
Tomorrow’s Grace
When children are taught never to forget
conflicts’ lessons, to love all humans,
to honor those through history
who, selfless, wrought liberty. . .
Then will spangled dreams of
world peace be fulfilled
as God imparts
tomorrow’s
grace on
all.
I love the way her book is categorized at the top of each page with
her different subjects, such as: Poems and Poets, The Birds, And the Trees,
Sea, And Sky, Darkness, And Delight etc. It makes it very easy to peruse
and pick out a subject you may feel like reading at any particular time.
Her book is filled with beautiful paintings and photographs which enhance
her lovely poetry.
Andrea’s Etherees about family will tug at the toughest heart. In her book,
her poem “The Loner,” one line jumped out at me. “An unknown
star.” I realized that is the perfect way to describe Andrea. This is not just
a book, it is a gift of Love." - Connie Marcum Wong, Author of Island Creations
"This chapbook is a delightful journey through life. Andrea paints lovely word pictures of things other may see
as mundane but as a poet she has the special gift of seeing way beyond a seemingly little instance. Her insight
is rewarding making me smile, sigh or laugh out loud! It was especially hard to pick out my favorites as there are
many, but after reading GHOSTLY I just loved the little shiver inside at the ending line. I also I loved this one: DAY
IN SHADES OF GRAY! Wow! This book, too, is attractive inside and out with lovely
painting and pictures of moments in time. I would definately urge you to get this enchanting chapbook." - Pamela A. MacBean
"After reading this delightful collection of poems, I became interested in the Etheree form, and wrote a few myself. It is easy
to see why Andrea is a teacher, as she teaches this poetry form so beautifully with her wonderful examples. I also was intrigued by
the art generously scattered throughout the chapbook. Since trees are a favorite subject of mine, I was
pleased to find several impressive depictions of trees, some swathed in mist, one in a snow scene, etc. If you love poetry and art,
For The Love of Etheree is a book you must have in your collection. I highly recommend it." - Emily Romano
