• "The View from Here" is full of both philosophy and fun. Perhaps I relate well to the poems here in part because both Elinor and I have logged a lot of years. Also, hers is the kind of poetry I can relate to--it has structure, humor, frequently rhyme. (I confess that I'm not a big fan of free verse.)

My personal favorites among these poems: Fatal Attraction, Night Noise, Heaven vs. Hell, Send Me No Roses, Song of the Stone, and Neighborhood Gossip.
