Professionalism is a must. We expect cover letters if submitting through the mail, readable font, and well crafted and formatted submissions. We will not tolerate submissions in "rough draft" form or with spelling errors.

All work, if accepted, must be the original work(s) of the poet/author/artist and previously unpublished. No previously web published poetry. The SP Quill will have first-time publishing rights to all material until after the issue is released when the copyrights will revert back to the original author/artist so he/she may publish the same material elsewhere in the future. Neither Shadow Poetry nor the SP Quill will ever take or sell the copyrights to anyone’s works.
