~January~Sanctuary~
Sky and land meet in surreal tones of blue
As snow slowly melts on the rocky cliffs
In the winter sun, letting friendly colors
Peek out from beneath their chilling cover.

Bryce Canyon, UT

~February~Mountain Wonderland~
Soft layers of snow
Tame the rugged mountain
That lies quiet and peaceful
In the afternoon sunlight
As snow laden evergreens
Bow at her feet, their shadows
Turning white snow, blue.

Mount Shuksan, WA

~March~Spring Flowers~
An old wooden bridge stands
Silent amidst brilliant crimson,
White and fuchsia azaleas,
Declaring the splendor of Spring.

Portland, OR

~April~Woodland Splendor~
Golden tulips lie with crimson
On a bed of kelly green...
As a sparkling brook flows
Gently by, downstream....
While guarded and surrounded
By the sturdy forest evergreens.

Many, LA

~May~Adventureland~
White cascading waters
Tumble over slate gray rocks
Forming magic in the mist....
Witnessed by a cluster of silent trees.

~June~Lighthouse~
The light house and her
Families watch friendly
Waves kiss the rocky shore
With white foam from a summer sea.

~July~Desert Scene~
White misty clouds caress distant
Snow covered mountain tops
Framed by a red clay, weather
Carved, sand stone arch.

Arches National Park, UT

~August~Amidst the Islands~
Palms reach out to clear blue skies
While their shadows fall upon a
Placid aqua marine sea.....
As the empty shore embraces one
Lonely rainbow colored windsurf sail
While the owner bathes in the blue.

Maui, HI

~September Liberty~
Our Lady of Liberty stands proud,
Overlooking New York harbor
With her torch aflame in a
Twilight Indian Summer sky.

Statue of Liberty, NY

~October~Autumn Haiku~
Autumn leaves keep me
Pensive, wrapped in reverie
Amidst the colors.

~November~Autumn Harvest~
Harvest the fruits of the land and
Gather close your family and friends
Give thanks for all of
Life's bounty God sends.

~December~Winter Glory~
Towering evergreens
Heavy laden with snow
Glisten in the morning sun
Casting their shadows on
The snowy pristine mountainside.
