quietly sitting

cruise ship in the distance

howls to the universe
as if someone heard

sunrise-
birds fly in formation above
the empty beach

speckled red and black-
spreading wings
land on yellow dress

thunderstorms-
a payer plant folds
its leaves in darkness

every evening
it rains
