A Feast Of Sea And Sky
Windows wide above the sea
To catch the setting sun;
Clouds in mauve and coral flame,
Another day is done.

The silver sea holds one small sail
And here stand you and I
Enthralled by the magnificence
As sunset paints the sky.

A quiet beach with golden sand,
Its lines kissed by the sea;
Footsteps almost hidden now
Show where you walked with me

Down to the dunes, into the waves,
Then further down the shore.
Now, capturing the memories
With you, I want no more

Than just to know you’re close to me.
Our spirits are entwined
And on a feast of sea and sky
Our souls have richly dined.

Pacific Sunset
Sun slips into his bath
To end another day.
I become a voyeur who
Just cannot look away.

He looks so blissful there,
In shades of crimson flame,
That I become so envious.
I want to feel the same.

I almost hear his sigh
As he sinks lower still
And wallows in the ocean tides.
Before he sleeps, I will

Just walk across the sand
And slip into his bed.
I’ll tell him to forget the sea
And worship me instead.

You Walk The Beach
I have stood here watching
High above the sea.
Every night you walk the beach.
Your spirit calls to me.

There is an air of sadness
That haunts that lonely shore.
Your shoulders slump as if to say,
I can’t take any more.

I have watched the moonlight
That danced upon the waves,
Images and memories
That everybody saves.

Still there is a spirit
Of desolation here;
A broken heart, a shattered dream
And just a touch of fear.

It centers on your footprints
Imbedded in the sand.
I wish I could reach out to you.
You wouldn’t understand.

So, I sit here a stranger
High above the sea.
Every night you walk the beach
Your spirit talks to me.

Heavenly Dancers
Dancers in the wind,
Incandescence flowing,
Dark skinned angels, graceful,
Spiritual and knowing;

Slowly they spiral,
Arms outstretched, in motion,
Dancing before us,
An iridescent ocean.

Visitors from heaven,
Music with their passage;
Blessings come in visions,
So they bring their message.

Come, let us lift you
To the realms of glory
And, with our dancing,
We can share our story.

Just raise your faces
To the light, transcending
All of your sorrow.
Peace is never ending.

A Broken Glass
The night is over.
The dream is shattered.
Piano keys
Are all that mattered.
I tried so hard
To draw you in
But, as the night
Began to spin
I knew that something
Had to fall.
A broken glass
Made me recall
That you and I
Could never be.
You’re too young
And I’m not free.
