The Season
King
Summer,
golden light,
warm and lucid.
Producer, destroyer, giver of life.
Winter is the Queen of all the seasons.
Beneath her crown
the Earth sleeps
until
sweet
Spring
arrives,
then Autumn.
Both love to dance
their brilliant colors for the King and Queen.

Autumn
Old
Autumn
Stands alone;
Dry, undazzled,
A faded, withered ghost with crackling smile.
Blown away by winds, her colored flags gone,
The work is done;
Harvest made.
Autumn’s
gone!

Winter
Cold
Winter
snowflakes bring
pristine beauty:
Sprinkled diamonds on sugared confection;
Topping her fairyland of forests green ~
a wondrous scene;
Now white, once
green, clean;
Pure.
Sun
will melt
her juices
into the earth
to nourish and sustain all life again.

Spring
Spring’s
new growth
of color
comes tenderly
and magically with heady fragrances.
Earth smiles a welcome greeting of delight.
From day ‘til night
she shouts her
love songs
bright.
Moon
beams down
on lovers
touching their hearts;
intoxicating, magnetizing light.
