Thomas Vaughan

How long have you been writing poetry?: For aeons. From a time when the world was young and filled with music. Or maybe, just when I was young and the world felt as though it was filled with music.

What/Who inspires you to write?: I suppose that my original mentor was my head teacher in primary school. One, W.E. Facey, a man of infinite wisdom and a sturdy right hand to deal with transgressors. The kids all loved him to bits.

Favorite Quote or Motto: "There is nothing new in a poem: The same words, the same meanings, yet a poem becomes new due to the skill in making it." - Abu hilal-al Askari. 11th centrury. Told you I was old.

Writing Awards, Publications, and other Achievements: Published in The Big Round Up. Open Forum. Senior Voices. Poetry Now. Sundry other British magazines that you probably never heard of. BBC Radio North. Short Plays Poems and things. moderator. The Critical Poet Lariat Laureatte second. The Bard
