How long have you been writing poetry?: Ever since I was in junior high school, some time ago now!
What/Who inspires you to write?: People, events, nature, you name it. Life is a veritable cornucopia of inspirations.
Favorite Quote or Motto: Try to use everything that comes into your life--even the tough stuff--as a growth experience.
Writing Awards, Publications, and other Achievements: A chapbook, "Venus on the Half Shell," which took a first place award in 2003 in a contest for already-published chapbooks; a first place in the 2000 Poets' Dinner annual contest; a first place in the 2001 Ina Coolbrith Circle annual contest. (These contests are two of the biggest poetry contests in the San Francisco Bay area.) Many other awards also.

Additional Poet Information: As you will see from the poems here, I like to write both rhyme and humor (a good combination). However, I do write other types of poetry--but not free verse!
