How long have you been writing poetry?: A early poem that I wrote at age 13 was broadcast by a DJ. That makes it 73 years and counting.

What/Who inspires you to write?: Everything I see or do read or dream or imagine inspires me

Favorite Quote or Motto: "A poem sould not mean, but be" - Archibald McLeish in Ars Poetica

Writing Awards, Publications, and other Achievements: I was an editor of the Yale Literary Magazine. I have won several prizes in contests and been published in many magazines. I was once one of twelve finalists for the Hearst Poetry Prize and that poem was published in The North American Review.

I have published an e-book of poetry and a chapbook. I also have a collection of short fiction still in print.

For a time I was a regular contributor to Boulder Lifestyle Magazine, and have also been police reporter for a smail daily newspaper.
