How long have you been writing poetry?: On and off for about three years. Most of the poems I have, were written in 2003.
What/Who inspires you to write?: My two young kids, life, nature's grandeur and anything else that tickles my fancy at a given moment.
Favorite Quote or Motto: "Poetry is not the turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion;it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality." -T.S. Eliot
Writing Awards, Publications, and other Achievements: N/A
Additional Poet Information: Welcome to my world of self-expression, in simplicity. Live a fantasy, face reality or simply dream about this beautiful universe we live in. Yes, we all feel miserable at times and momentarily think that a given situation is incurable but we have to be affirmative and confront life’s ups and downs. Only then, can we combat our fears and bring things back to normalcy. It is during these times that I am inspired to write. I write poetry when my emotion is at its peak. Whether it is a feeling of joy, sadness, affection or simply observing nature's splendor. For me, writing poetry is like creating a magical brew. When the concoction is complete, I feel a sense of satisfaction because I have created magic with words.
