How long have you been writing poetry?: I wrote Christmas parodies and cheesy love poems years ago but have experimented a lot more since 2000.

What/Who inspires you to write?: Ironies and circumstances of life from the sublime to the ridiculous, and I always need fresh "ideas."

Favorite Quote or Motto: Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult.

Writing Awards, Publications, and other Achievements: Dreaming the Unicorn: Lyrical Blooms is a beautiful collection of sonnets and other forms such as swap quatrain, triolet, etheree, etc. released in November 2004. Friendship Garden is a compilation of two aspiring poets who met on the Internet and became friends. These publications are available through Shadow Poetry's online store for only $5.00 each. Poetry Contest Award from Shadow Poetry for 1st place in their first chapbook contest, poems posted on the contest winners' page at magickalkingdom.com, and publication in "Friendship Garden," and Shadow Poetry, volume 3, and last (rather first) an Editor's Choice Award from Poetry.com, which means absolutely nothing as I am sure everyone in their books gets one. Also, my seasonal poetry appears under Shadow Poetry's Holiday section.
