My Definition of Achiever

by Hanh Chau

My definition of achiever defined on the factors of personal effort, perserverance, and the ability to overcom personal obstacles. The ability of believing in oneself, have faith, and the willingness to seek for self-improvement. She refuses to let obstacles or other difficult matter getting in her way of pursuing her dreams and goals.

Another significant factor of achiever is defined on the willingness to work diligently, the willingness to make 100% commitment and dedication to take life as challenge. Such commitment and dedication are referring to setting goals, planning out objectives, and setting time limit to achieve the task.

An achiever understands that success doesn't happen overnight or one's wish doesn't granted upon immediately, but it requires many years of hard work, determination, motivation, and positive attitude. In addition, she also recognizes that success can't be accomplished without failure and the ability to try because it takes 50 to 100 times to strive for success. The more she puts in for the effort, the more she will gain out of it.

Furthermore, she is to use all her power and strength to make her dreams turn into reality from the impossible, and she always stay focus and never to give up. An achiever understands that life is a battle where she must work hard and she understands that there are roads in life that she must travel alone even though she is surrounding by people whom she loves and cares. An achiever believes in a path she has chosen even when it's hard, even when others can't see where she is going. She is a positive thinker who sees good things in herself. An achiever knows that she is not perfect and doesn't blame fate for her failure. Instead she uses that as a learning experience and hangs tight until everything is going smooth for her. From the worst she makes into the best. She understands her purpose is not soley to seek for personal achievement, but her role to be a model to others. She also understands that trying is what counts and also stay positive because success does has a way of showing through at the end of hard work.

An achiever believes a personal achievement shouldn't be judged primarily on earning a gold medal or winning a crown, but it should be included with other personal aspect and the individual's effort of trying and making contribution to reach for her goals and most importantly understands her service of purpose in life.
